Deane Gurney is the President of E. Sands & Associates, a Trustee in Bankruptcy, a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals and holds a Licentiate in Accounting. Deane has over 26 years of experience practicing exclusively in the consumer and corporate insolvency and restructuring areas.

Deane has been involved in a wide range of insolvency and restructuring engagements including: instrument appointed receiver and advisor to lenders, corporate debtors and other stakeholders with respect to financial and viability assessments, security reviews and financial investigations.

Geoff Orrell is a Senior Vice-President of E. Sands & Associates, a Trustee in Bankruptcy and a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals. Geoff has over 30 years of experience practicing exclusively in the consumer and corporate insolvency and restructuring areas including 20 years with two National Professional Services and Chartered Accountancy Firms.

Geoff has been involved in a wide range of insolvency and restructuring engagements including, instrument appointed receiver, advisor to lenders, corporate debtors and other stakeholders with respect to financial and viability assessments, security reviews and financial investigations.

Located in our Langley and Port Coquitlam offices, Geoff focuses on both consumer and corporate insolvency and restructuring proceedings.

Susan Newbury is a Trustee in Bankruptcy and a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals. Susan has over 20 years of experience practicing exclusively in consumer insolvency and restructuring. Kimberly To is a Trustee in Bankruptcy, a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals and a Certified General Accountant. Kimberly has over 15 years of experience practicing exclusively in consumer insolvency and restructuring. Located in our Surrey and Richmond offices, Kimberly’s primary focus is the administration of consumer bankruptcies and proposals to creditors to assist individuals in resolving their financial difficulties. Kimberly is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Kristine Medeiros is an experienced Insolvency Estate Manager and Qualified Insolvency Counsellor with over 12 years of experience. Located in our Surrey and Richmond offices, Kristine’s primary focus is the administration of personal bankruptcies and consumer proposals to creditors to assist individuals in resolving their financial difficulties.

Alana Orrell, BA, CA, Estate Manager

Alana Orrell is an Insolvency Estate Manager who joined E. Sands & Associates Inc. in June 2011. Serving clients in our Langley, Surrey and Vancouver offices, Alana’s primary focus is the administration of personal and corporate bankruptcies and consumer proposals to creditors to assist clients in resolving their financial difficulties.  Alana’s previous experience includes over 11 years of public practice in the field of accounting and auditing, working with small to medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations.  An active volunteer in the community, Alana is a member of Rotary and is also serving her 5^th year as Treasurer for a non-profit organization.
